Terms of Use

Cutover · Last updated 9 August 2026

These terms govern your use of Cutover, provided by Wael Makhoul. By using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

Licence

You receive a personal, non-transferable licence to use Cutover on devices you own or control, as permitted by the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. You may not resell, redistribute, or reverse-engineer the app except where that restriction is prohibited by law.

Apple's role

Apple is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for Cutover or its content. Your use of the app is also covered by the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, including Apple's Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement. We, not Apple, are solely responsible for the app and for any support, maintenance, or claims relating to it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

Your account

Cutover requires an account. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for activity under your account. You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete account.

Your content

Everything you record with Cutover is yours. It stays on your device — we claim no rights over it, and we cannot access it. You are responsible for what you film and for having the right to record and publish it, including the rights to any video you load into React mode and any music you add.

Free and paid plans

Cutover is free to use, with unlimited recording. The free plan exports with a watermark, caps Dual and React capture at 1080p, and limits saved pipelines.

Cutover Pro is available as an auto-renewing subscription, monthly or yearly. Cutover Lifetime is a one-time purchase that unlocks the same features permanently and does not renew. The price of each, in your local currency, is shown in the app and on the App Store before you buy.

Subscription terms

Acceptable use

Do not use Cutover to record or publish material that is unlawful, infringes someone else's rights, or is created without a required consent.

No warranty

Cutover is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. Recording depends on your device's hardware, storage, and thermal state; we cannot guarantee that any given take will complete or be recoverable.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Wael Makhoul is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Cutover, including lost recordings. Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose.

Changes

These terms may be updated. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
